This policy outlines how Vixen Dance & Fitness uses social media, photography, and videography, and the standards expected from staff, students, and the wider community to ensure privacy, safety, and legal compliance.

1. Scope
This policy applies to all Vixen Dance & Fitness employees, volunteers, students, and families using or featured in social media, photographs, and videos related to our classes, events, and performances.
2. Social Media Use
We use platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to promote our activities and celebrate student achievements.
All official content is managed by designated staff members only.
Personal social media accounts of staff must not share identifiable images or personal information of students without written permission.
3. Consent
Written consent will be obtained from participants (or from a parent/carer for under-18s) for any use of photos/videos on social media, marketing materials, and our website.
A consent form is provided upon enrolment and updated annually.
Individuals may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us in writing.
4. Photography & Videography at Events
Photography and filming may occur during classes, rehearsals, and performances. These are used for training, promotion, and archival purposes.
We will clearly communicate when photography or filming is taking place.
Audience members may be restricted from recording events to protect privacy and copyright.
5. Safeguarding and Privacy
No photos or videos will be taken or shared of any child who is subject to a court order restricting media exposure.
Images will not be used in a way that risks the safety or dignity of any individual.
Full names will not be published alongside images of children without explicit consent.
6. Breaches
Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action for staff or removal from activities for participants, in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
