Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre is a vibrant and expressive art form that combines acting, singing and dancing to tell a story. It brings characters and emotions to life through music and movement creating powerful performances that entertain, inspire and connect with audiences. From Broadway classics to modern hits. Musical Theatre blends the magic of drama with the rhythm of song and dance.
What is involved?
Acting
Through fun drama games, script work and improvisation exercises students develop strong storytelling skills and expressive performance techniques.
Singing
We focus on vocal training, pitch, rhythm and projection while learning songs from both new and well loved musicals. Ensuring they are training their voices safely and effectively.
Dancing
We also offer a musical theatre dance class which includes training and routines inspired by the musical theatre style. In these classes we focus on technique, coordination, and performance quality.
Do you offer Musical Theatre Exams?
Yes!
Our Musical Theatre exams follow the Theatric Awards Syllabus and offer students the ability to gain a recognised qualification for their skills in singing, acting and dancing through a structured and supportive assessment process.
Working towards these exams helps students to build confidence, discipline, and performance technique with each level offering age appropriate challenges and clear progression.
Exams are optional but are encouraged and take place in a positive low-pressure environment where students can showcase their achievements and celebrate their achievements.
